The Ace of Swords Reversed

“There are none so blind as those who will not see.”

— John Heywood

Confusion, misinformation, Clouded judgment, distorted/Avoided truth

Overview

As you would imagine, the Ace of Swords Reversed becomes an elusive beast. It’s a truth that is willing to bury itself beneath the sand to avoid detection. You could be sticking your head in a hole, or there could be a secret conspiracy against you. Either way, enlightenment will come when comfort becomes the adversary to your enemies.

Just like how the Upright position can indicate fertility, the reversed can indicate infertility. This is more likely seen in the sense of a woman’s cycle.

Meaning

Confusion

There is no clear place to stand at this moment, you are confused in your dealings in a situation. The Ace of Swords reversed asks you to bide your time before making any definitive stances in a situation. All will be revealed in due time, when comfort become the adversary to your enemies.

Avoiding the Truth

When we turn the other cheek, it can symbolize that there is wool over your eye and you are being played the fool. There is something telling you that you’re being deceived, which is creating hostility and aggression towards people around you.

Clouded judgement

That spark of clarity hasn’t reached you yet to reach your goals. There is a lack of planning that is indicating that this is going to fail horribly. You have not translated your entire vision to your peers; you haven’t even put together a sequence of events to go off of. You’re kind of just winging it.

Divine timing, Divine reveal

When you see the Sword upside down, don’t try to  rush the truth. There is something blocking it from coming all the way to you. Whether it’s anxiety, or it’s simply not yet complete. The answer doesn’t exist yet so there is no point over worrying about what could be. Take things one day at a time and focus on yourself.
