There’s some conflict in the nature of pages and knights as messengers. Some readers see the knights as the ones who deliver and the pages as the nature of the message, while others see pages to be the delivery of the message for the knight.
I think the most pivotal perspective is that knights are seekers. It’s an ideal that is being sought out and conquered. For the sake of having a well rounded source, I will include the messenger meaning as well. Though in my personal practice I have identified knights as the ones who conquest
In terms of the knight of cups, he’s a massive player. Someone who’s in love with love. They aren’t afraid of emotional feats, and are quite romantic. Though they are hard to hold the attention or loyalty of. They have so much love in their bodies that they simply give it all away willingly to reduce the burden of it. They’re hard to pin down romantically.

The knight of cups in reversed is the ultimate player. They have a charming smile and a warm demeanor but no depth. When it comes to relationships they fly through them and then leave them by dawn. Whenever something new catches their attention you’ll find their love wavers from you as they become absorbed in another. It’s frustrating to deal with a knight of cups in reversed. There maybe a way to appeal to them enough to commit to you, but their eye will always wander.
Conversely, this can be positive in terms of love. It can speak for someone who has played the field is finally sick of it. They want to settle down, they’ve been hurt enough.
