Knowledge is power.”
— Francis Bacon
Mental Authority, Fairness, Ethical judgment, leading with reason, clarity
Characteristics
There is no more king than the swords. This is someone you want to be in charge, someone logical and not swayed by fear or anger. He is cool headed, logical, and his head always trumps his heart. Fair in his authority he gives recognition where it is deserved. Well-spoken like his monarchy, he has no problem enlisting an army when he needs help. In fact, he could do it while bar hopping without even thinking about it. It seems everyone submits to them due to their extraordinary understanding and rationality.
Negatively, he can be manipulative, and silver tongued. Since he understands how people work so well, he can deceive someone completely undetected. Due to his advanced intellect, he has a sense of entitlement; anyone who can’t match his wit is beneath him. Sometimes he takes advantage of his silver tongue and strong influence for all the wrong reasons.

Symbolism
A authoritative king sits on a throne with butterflies and crescent moons. He holds an upright sword; the clear, airy background represents intellectual mastery, logic, justice, strategy, and ethical authority.
Meaning
You may be involved in a pursuit that will yield spiritual enlightenment or transformation. Or a situation where you should be using logic over intuition and anxieties. The greatest war ever won is the one over our own minds. There could be a situation where your words hold significant gravity so think before you speak. When you do , do so calm, concisely for everyone to hear.
Even when al seems lost, the king shows up to remind you the hard is the only way. A system has to be established, and there need to be strategies for solutions. If you assert yourself, you can get what you want as long as you moderate your power for the long haul.
King of Swords Reversed
The greatest obstacle to discovery is not ignorance – it is the illusion of knowledge.” — Daniel J. Boorstin
Power manipulation, rigid, thinking, Truth used as a weapon

Meaning
Smooth Talker
This man can talk anyone off of a ledge and under a table. As great of a speaker that he is, it’s almost to the detriment of everyone else if it’s not utilized correctly.
Closed minded
Convincing this King of anything is losing battle. Whether you are simply trying to change his mind about something as insignificant as the color of the drapes or as complex as political affairs. Cold and crudely, they have invalidated your opinions long before you started speaking them.
Weaponized honesty
Has someone ever dropped a truth on you right when your heart was on the edge of shattering? That’s what this king is an absolute master of. They will see your walls start breaking down and then take a total wrecking ball to them just to assure you stay down.
