The way you layout your tarot cards can reveal a lot more information in your reading than if you simply let them fly out while you’re shuffling. The way you feel drawn to cut the deck and stack it can also indicate some psychological influences.
I recommend any new reader to stick to tradition before branching off into their own intuitive version of reading. Though there are technically— no wrong answers. Personally I started by reading in a very traditionally structured way habitually until I developed my own unique way of learning how to read. This was to maximize the probability that every reading was unique— with as little chance for replication as possible.
Different methods of Shuffling Tarot Cards
At the end I’ll put my personal method of shuffling, which causes the cards to be truly random in their orientation and position. It can also be counted towards blessing the cards in a chaotic sort of way.
Riffle-Shuffle
This is the one you see done at most poker tables; The riffle-shuffle is a fast way to randomize your cards. Depending on how you do this move, you can even implement reversed cards and truly randomize the deck.
