Brooke Basketcase

Was a name I coined for myself somewhere around 2004 when it was super cool to not use your real last name. It was just the most Alternative (read: Emo / Punk / Scene / Goth, at the time) thing you could do. A lot of the trendy Screennames (What kids these days refer to as your “@“) of the biggest influencers of my generation were along the lines of WoahIt’sMike , Robby Riot, CrystalxxxCatastrophe, to name a few.

A few modern examples of people who kept their famed names are Jeffrey Starr (real name: Jeffrey Lynn Steininger Jr. Known for his line of cosmetics) and Andy Sixx (Real name: Andy Biersack of Black Veil Brides).
