Over the last decade I’ve made many artistic pursuits from working with yarn, Sculpting, wood carving, wood working, DIY projects at home, etc. But I think what I’m most proud of is just how much time I’ve dedicated to learning how to draw.
The patience it takes to create a piece of work on paper is something I’ve always underestimated, severely. Sometimes I would literally estimated “I’ll probably be done with this in a couple of hours” and 3 days later I’m still working on the same thing. Over time, my ability to actually finish work has greatly improved.
One of the hardest things about drawing is translating the image in your head, in all its neon glory, and failing to transmute that image onto something flat and static.

A lot of these works are older, from around 2020-2021. I will try to date them all, but I have an eclectic process of creation. A finished piece of work can be improved if I learn something new that I can apply to it.
An example being “blocking/blacking out” is a practice I’ve been working on recently by working on black work. This new skill can be applied to old pieces with very minimal interference and just completely improve a piece in general.
There are so many more works I have that have been lost with time. When I moved in 2022, I only took what I could fit in my compact car ( A hatchback with less than a foot of trunk space). Everything else go left behind.
